I have gap insurance, if the car turns up get it stripped to see what exactly they've done (damage wise) and put back together with original components new, well thats the plan anyway.

thats the job of insurance...being a financial advisor i'd be pretty stupid not to head to my own advise about protecting financial commitments in any event forseeable.
