You aren't trying nodz, I managed 105 miles on a tank on my ED30....... It was at the Nurburgring though! :driver:

At least I know what I've got to aim for when I go to the Ring :driver:

I have had mine a couple of months now and average 26mpg on my daily commute of 12 miles return to work

To be honest i am a bit uncertain as my 335d use to give about the same

Will look in to the suggestions of pcv and dv when i get a chance

Best I've had over 25 miles of A Roads doing between 30-70 with lots of cruise control and V-Power :

Usually get ~330 miles from full to light.

I've been wondering the same recently... I averaged 27 since I picked the car up 3 weeks ago. On my short commute it can be between 20 (traffic) and 24, once warmed up on the  motorway around 30-32. Seen a marginal improvement since changing the DV valve from B to G, spark plugs and coil pack up next this coming weekend.

Update! New PCV just being fitted. Car already had a rev g diverted so not changed that as it was only put on in October. But the big thing the mech found was the spare plugs( all 4 ) where only in hand tight!!!!!! Surely this has got to contribute to loss of compression and poor fuel economy also!! ?? Watch this space.....

Ok,just an update, a new PCV,new plugs which are now tight(!) and mpg has immediately risen from 17 to 21 mpg around town, and a lot of this has been stop start, over speed bumps etc. does this now sound acceptable fellow owners? I'm hoping to get it out on a decent run tomorrow to see if it increases....

Question now is is there anything else I should be looking for?? Anything else I can try or change to increase mpg?

I'm thinking of a Terraclean next?

Any info greatfully received!  :happy2:

Happy to report that on an afternoon out I've managed 37mpg to our destination, and then we took the A roads home and it's average 28mpg!!

Whether it was the plugs being loose, and changed for a new set and tightened up, and / or the new PCV I won't know but deffo happier with the result!

Thanks for everyone's help and advice!

I managed some pretty amazing figures today in my Ed30.

Coming back from Ultimate Dubs today over 31 miles I got the below:

I had done a trip before to warm up the engine and reset the mpg then so the car was already warm. The journey was steady country lanes and probably most of it was downhill. I was doing 40-55mph the whole was, window down and just taking it easy, kept the turbo off boost and accelerated at a rate that wouldn't upset the traffic behind.

This is better than the 45mpg I got from my old K03 GTI  :notworthy:

I'm a pro at hyper-miling  :signLOL:

I got 37.4mpg on the way there, although that was with a couple of hard pulls through the gears and the heated seat on

The TFSI is great on fuel if you know how to drive gently
