I usually get from 350-375 miles for a full tank depending on my mood
But getting anything above 30mpg is pretty boring imo...

This is better than the 45mpg I got from my old K03 GTI  :notworthy:

It's probably because it's easier to be off boost in the K04 :drinking: :P

Managed 41.2 on a 128 mile round trip to a meet yesterday. That includes two 4 mile cold engine commutes to work through town.

Quite impressed with some of the figures you guys are achieving. Taking mine for its first long  run this weekend but even driven normally I'm not convinced I'll get above low/ mid 30s, will see what happens!

Looking at some of these figures and thinking "I wish I'd bought a GTI now".

I only get 475 miles out of a tank on my TDI and Diesel is more expensive anyway  :sad1:

Then again at my age insuring a GTI is an expensive hobby without the fuel.

Do people find using 98 RON makes much difference? I filled up with Shell Nitro last week but this week I was in a rush so just put in some supermarket fuel. MPG doesn't seem any worse, maybe slightly better if anything...

Usually get 375 - 400 miles to a full tank with 40 mile round trips to work & back, usually about 38mpg on the trip. Have noticed if I'm just driving about the village it drops to high teens early twenties.

I get around 300 miles give or takes couple, mainly town driving. I've just changed my DV so hopefully a few more from now on!  :happy2:

I cruise control at 65mph and get 38mpg on the way to work and 40mpg on the way back (it's a 32.5m journey each way). I get about 420 miles from a tank.

370-400 for me. Its generally 50mph+ on a mix of A roads and motorways, averaging between 35 and 38 mpg

I have managed just over 31 mpg in the R32, that was town/motorway driving over a distance of 41 miles. I ran a tank of Vpower through it with a Redex chaser, and it's been better mpg-wise on short journeys since I've done that. Could just be that the weather has been milder for the past week though
