Bulb Advice Please!
« on: March 06, 2014, 07:52:07 am »
Hey, I'm pretty new to the forum and VW's in general, bought a MK5 golf gttdi a few weeks ago and looking to change a few bits. Starting with the bulbs, I've done a few searches but I'm not very clued up on it all yet, I'm looking to change all my bulbs for hid's, headlights, sidelights, rear lights, etc but I'm not sure what to go for. I want them to be blue and noticeably brighter than standard but not stupidly bright. I've seen on a few threads some bulbs can affect other electrics in the car, wipers etc? So I'd like to stay away from that. Not bothered about how much they are just so long as they're a lot cheaper than xenons.

Cheers!

Would you be able to link me them? Are these just headlights or sidelights, rear lights etc too? Thanks :)

Just fitted these 100W Mtecs

not that much brighter than 55w, maybe 15%, but for once an overtaking car doesn't cast my own cars shadow over my headlight beams, if you know what I mean...

Still not bought any bulbs, that link to power bulbs is for a gti, are they the same headlight bulbs ad my standard Gttdi headlights?

Are the osram night breakers a noticeable difference over standard?

Cheers
