Midline average fuel gauge

Hi everyone

I have a midline dash and wanted to know which option tells you the average fuel consumption

I seem to been getting confused with regards to
1 trip memory
2 total jorney memeory

You can reset either counter by long-pressing the button on the bottom of the stalk. Setting '1' is the average for that journey (resets after 2 or so hours of the car being left switched off) and setting '2' is an average since the last time it was reset using the button.
