Revo remap Wiped!!! :@

well the other day i disconnected my battery and due to this it wiped my Revo remap :/

has anybody else experienced this? if i knew this was gonna happened im sure i wouldn't off done it or bought an sps switch...

i think its a bit crap that its not a cheap map(£500)

i contacted the closest place that could put it back on ( actual revo told me to do this) and its at sheffield statler ... first they said it wouldnt cost anything then i said what about if i put a decat on and want stage 2...i then said i wont bother and said just want the orignal map put back on..but they are wanting to charge me £50 to put it back on and 'if' i go back for more work they will knock it off bill..but i dont want any work done by them because i can do all the work thy could offer me myself...

has anybody got the software that i could use or?

my mate can put maps on cars he quoted tho (If you can find one I can flash it, if it's like a vauxhall tho it'll need hardware and software numbers coding otherwise it won't go on)

sorry if its abit confusing all my mumble but im sure you can get the idea lol

You need to find someone local who has an SPS box... OR any revo dealer will be able to put the settings back on but will charge you

so would they be able to just put it back on my car from there box? can you download the software from anywhere?

and its abit annoying being charged for it ..what happens if your battery dies ..so aswell as a new battery you have to pay x amount to get your mapped put back on everytime...

so next question has anybody got an sps switch round worksop area? near sheffield also and doncaster

Your car still has the software on but all the values are zeroed.

You haven't "wiped" your map because you disconnected your battery it rest the settings to 1-0-0 instead of whatever you had previously.

All you need is an SPS to change the settings however it would help if you knew what they were before you start guessing.

will travel a little distance but obviously if its gonna cost more then £50 in fuel may as well go sheffield lol

ive turned my boost down... i was getting stupid amounts of buffeting. I need to log it to check what going on. Gonna use santa pod to test which setting is "faster"

The sps boxes can be picked up for around 50-60 quid !

been trying to look for one...but what if i get a different map can i still us the switch?
