Why write the car off? Could they not just replace with the std seats if the owner was happy with that or do they not make those anymore either?

It's amazing how many people go batsh*t crazy when a car gets stolen on here, "bring back hanging"..... yet will happily buy parts like this no questions asked. Where honestly do you think they've come from?

La la la la laaaa, I can't hear you.

The scene gays don't care. More money to pay for the 2-3k retrimming bill.

Anyway, pole positions FTW

It seems bizarre. New seats £19k value of car £26k. Not sure how it all works but let's say buy it back for £7k get some 2nd hand seats and flog it for a load of money!

I'm sure that can't be right can it?

I'm sure it's wrong. New set of buckets from Audi is like 5-6k, 2hrs labour to fit, hardly a write off

It is when the dealership slings in a 'kick in the balls bid' to the insurance company off the back of it.
Sideways yo!

If I had an rs4 I would be getting those buggers welded into the chassis.

Well i must have missed something then.  20 hrs @ £132 is £2640
Obviously there are parts costs involved, but I can see them being 17 grands worth.

They're also smashing windows and ripping out the interior alarm sensors, plus I expect a lot of convertibles get targeted and end up needing a new roof. The £19K is probably the most damaged car, you know what the papers are like!

Therefore it doesn't explain properly why in the article does it.
