Haha we are probably about due the monthly DSG vs Manual debate.

I like mine a lot and don't think I'd go back. Its just so much nicer and more relaxing to drive whilst offering better performance and economy.

Come to think of it. You might be right.

To the OP. I use to own a Manual GTI I now own 2 x DSG GTI's.
After driving a friends Manual Octavia 2 weeks ago. I have forgotten how nice the manual GTI's/Octavia's really are.
They are slower thou.

As others have stated. drive them both, if you have never driven a DSG. I recommend taking it for a drive at least 1-2 hours to experience the full benefit of the car.

Sounds like a great idea. Get a Rev D on K03 and a Rev G for K04.
Ignore and forget all other alternate options/solutions.

Wow that was a long discussion.
So what was that about tires then?
