My opinion.....
The VWR mounts are overpriced (this has been communicated to VWR by another forum member) for what they are in reality.
The Dubtek mounts look to be far better engineered. And are substanially cheaper, i think we are waiting for communication from BSH via Dubtek as to the possibility of a GB.
Again i must stress this is just my opinion, and not added to cause Controversy.
....Respecting that this is your opinion and knowing that you are a helicopter engineer (or similar), I'm genuinely interested in why you think that the BSH offerings "look to be far better engineered". I'm not disagreeing with you but until I read and understand your reasoning I am keeping my mind open as to whether I agree this is so or not.

look less solid as a structure. As an engineer, Dave, what do you think of the VF mounts?
In my opinion, thinking that something is overpriced can be very subjective. Let's not forget that VWR's mounts will not be produced in large quantity as demand is somewhat limited. Also, BSH have already shown that they seem prepared to subsidise and reduce their profits on a product in order to promote themselves - It's a well-known marketing ploy which happens to benefit the consumer but doesn't necessarily mean that rival products are overpriced.
Having said that, perhaps VWR could offer their mounts at a cheaper price but I certainly had no problem paying their costs - It's a commercial decision which only they can and should be allowed to decide. When I was in business I occasionally had someone tell me I was too expensive but it was a very subjective opinion and usually used to try to negotiate a lower price.
Just like you, Dave, I'm merely discussing this openly and not seeking 'controversy'.
