What are you going to do with the standard intake mate? Mine's a bit knackered so I'd bung you a few beer tokens for it  :happy2:

It's only the top half of it (in your photo) that I need.

engine cover got dropped off on sunday/monday
should be back soon

i had a few problems with my engine coer, few rubbers missing and a broken bulkhead so it was rattling, ordered the necessary parts and they were all fitted y'day and it site perfect now, also fitted the uprated panel filter y'day, only drove to work in traffic since fitted so havnt felt any difference yet.

My oil cap top had come seperate from the bottom part so a new one was bought and fitted y'day so engine bay is all sorted and looking swish just waiting for engine cover back then new pics will be added then

right i got my engine cover back last tuesday all nearly finished. Fitted its weds night and looks really nice i think

heres a few progress pics of it

before; as you can see there was a crack right through the top nearly putting it in two

the guy then plastic welded the cover and fibre glassed the back for extra strength then bodyfilled front, he primered it and then kombi filled it. Then applied a guide coat, this shows up any defects and as the cover was really textured he applied primer heavy so the texture could be rubbed away, you can see to the right how heavy he applied the primer by how much had rubbed away already:

after he rubbed away most of the guide coat and making sure the panel was 100% ready and blew the dust off, tacked panel and stat gunned the panel and applied a couple of coats waiting 15 minutes between coats:

i havnt got any pics on the car yet due to my internet been down at home and also my n97 phoine has gone off to repair so no camera phone

also, i need to nip back to see the guy as he is doing all the lettering in red for m, he said he'll be able to do this while its on the car so just need to find a time when were both free

cheers
