MFD2 Aux in (via changer socket) help needed!!
« on: April 09, 2014, 11:19:46 pm »
Hey, after searching and searching I've come up with nothing.

I have bought an mfd2 unit off of eBay for the GTi and it fits perfect and works great, but when I got an Aux cable (the type that goes into the cd changer socket), I can't seem to get any sound out? Does anyone know if I need to activate something in the settings somewhere? Or is it a duff cable?

Thanks in advance!!! :)

You'll need VCDS to code it.

Shouldn't need VCDS. You need to go into the settings and enable the AV something like in the below link. Cant remember exactly which setting but if you have a fiddle you'll figure it in 5 seconds.

Been playing with settings and stuff, but just get static. Probably the cable I guess :(
