pirelli edition 22k
« on: October 12, 2009, 10:02:43 pm »
I was shocked to see a perelli ed 2008 mk5 gti for 22k at my dealer. I was told its because its fully loaded but still seems a lot to me? Then again mine cost me 16k 6months ago on a 57reg with a few extras!

if i'm not mistaken wasn't the Pirelli edition just over 23k new ? (+ options)

sounds like dealers are charging top dollar for limited edition cars at the moment

It's because people are paying it, the new car Market is still on it's arse, whereas the used car Market has never been stronger.

6months ago when I found my gti the dealer had a ed30 08reg for 18500 but I couldn't stretch that far! Seat dealer offered me 15k for my gti and told me the vw dealer sold it me cheap

£22k for last years Pirelli does seem a lot but it makes me happy as it keeps the residuals up.

Then again, most of the newish used Mk6's are touching £30k on dealer forecourts - just look at the used GTi's on the VW website. The first 3 pages of the search are all GTi's over £27k !!!!!

That makes the Pirelli bit of a bargain with the spec they have - and it is a limited edition - somthing like 250 in the country

Well, the Pirelli is truely a limited edition - it certainly will hold its value well mainly because the Golf MK5 has been the best Golf out ( MK3 & Mk4 were a dissapointment )

I paid £21,850 for mine with 12,800 on the clock. It had DSG, rear sensors, muliti functional steering wheel ( most extras come as standard )

I have to say, i think i paid £1000 too much, but thats a buyers market for you.

I'm over the moon with the car, i just love everything about it, the wheels grow on me everyday & the interior is soo lush, everyone comments how they love the seats.

Sure other Pirelli owners say the same thing :happy2:

Pity they only made the Pirelli in Silver and Black.
VW Golf Edition 30, Candy White, 3dr Manual. Plus a stunning Aston Martin V12 Vantage!

Agree with the above, but that same top spec car last year was touching 29k.

Personally if it has all the toys, then 22k is worth it :happy2:
