Brake caliper refurb
« on: April 12, 2014, 06:00:49 pm »
Hi All,

Just had all my discs and pads replaced today as the old discs were in a poor state of repair due to the low mileage that the car has seen over the last couple of years.

I was told that the piston on the rear calipers sticking slightly and therefore I will need to either refurb or renew.

Being the weekend I am anxious to find the cost of x4 calipers from VW, my OCD won't allow for a single new brighter colour caliper  :signLOL:

Alternatively I have posted an advert in the wanted section for x4 calipers and carriers with a view of sending them in for a refurb and paint. I was looking at these guys:  http://www.brake-caliper-painting.com

All depends whats the cheapest option buy new or buy old and refurb  :popcornsoda:

Hmmmmm  :sad1:
