GTI BUMPER FITMENT

Hey everyone, just in the process of buying my first mk5 golf, its an 06 plate...will the gti bumper go straight on without modification, as it has the standard bumper on at the moment

The bumper will need trimming to fit. Otherwise you will need a new slam panel etc to get it to fit without trimming

Alternative is the aftermarket replica GTI bumpers which fit a standard Golf without modification. Can be had of eBay quite cheaply

Buy a genuine one and trim it 100% of the time.

I also bought a genuine one and I was worried about trimming it myself, once I took my tdi bumper off and offered the gti bumper up against the car it was easy, didn't take long at all, I would also recommend buying genuine  :happy2:
