Dont think so. Probably end up damaging the door card if you leave it on

No it can't mate, but honestly its easier removing door card than mirror, also top tip use blue tack on the end of your torx driver to stop 2 of the bolts falling into the door, or its the outta skin off to retrieve them :-)
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

Nah you need to remove the door card but it's not that difficult....it can't be as I managed it. Probably best doing a search for golf mk5 door card removal on Google as that's what I did and I'm sure it was an American forum that had a step by step guide. :happy2:
