Is this similar to the famous White 1M drivway theft video then, where they mimic keyless entry to get in, then plug in an ODB device to mask the alarms and immobiliser and trick-start the engine?

Scary that tech like that falls into such c**ty hands if it's the case.

That's shocking. When the alarm did go off, I wonder if any sound came out. Crazy how easy it was.

Few years back I was privy to some stuff about high value car theft, where this was explained, although they already had a key made and simply drive off from prior signal interference.

Wonder if aftermarket alarms are the same.

Hideous to watch

Best method is to simply relocate the OBD2 port or better yet disconnect the wires from the back of it until you need it. Only takes a minute.
