Creamfields 2014
« on: April 30, 2014, 10:30:40 pm »
Looking at going. Is anyone else?

I can only make the Saturday night, but that's why I want to go also - Armin with the ASOT tent. The lineup is near perfect.

What are taxi's like afterwards, will they pickup from the festival site or, what's the best way to get from there to the city centre at 4-5am bearing in mind it's in the middle of a field ?

Thanks.
Pete

You might struggle getting a taxi to actually come into the site as the traffic can be a nightmare and the mud on the access road even more so..
Most people seem to use the M56 J11 roundabout as a pick up point as it's only a 15min walk from the site and most of the mud has been walked off by then
Which City centre you wanting to head to? Creamfields is pretty much in the middle of Manchester, Liverpool and Chester with all being roughly a 25-30 min drive from the site at that time of the morning  :happy2:

Ill possibly be going on the Sunday, went on the Saturday last year. I need the 11pm finish with a new baby no doubt  :indifferent:

ASOT looks good but I prefer the line up of the main Cream tent on the sunday. You not coming to GC in Birmingham this Sunday Pete?

They do have a tax rank on site, but be careful if you get into a black cab - make sure you ask for the price first - we got well ripped off last year as was too merry to have wits about us to query price before we got in. Had to haggle with him and knock £10 off but was still a fraud  :fighting:

I thought that might be the case Steve! What's your advice given that there's only Saturday Standard tickets left and we'll obviously need somewhere to crash down on?

Driving to site isn't really an option. The last time I drove on a fest site it was in the GTI @ Latitude and even on AP springs, the whole experience did NOT go well. I don't think it recovered from the scrapes and terrain to this day

Plus it's the North West and Black Edition's don't stay visible around Liverpool for long I understand

If we book a crash point in Warrington or Mancs (or wherever), how can we realistically get somewhere safely?
Pete

Who's playing chief?  :happy2:

That's a good pointer, thanks. At 4.30am though I'm not sure I'll be able to negotiate a kerb, let alone a taxi fare  :ashamed:

You need to book a local taxi frim to take you and pick you up and put a deposit down on the return taxi.

So if staying in Liverpool use Delta or Davey Liver cabs.

Sunday is Calvin Harris, Tiesto and Fatboy Slim on outside stages and dj sets by -

Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, John O'Callaghan, James Zabiela, Booka Shade

Definitely going this year, went for a few years and the weather was crap so decided to give last year a miss, was gutted when the weather was unreal!

Was thinking of just doing the Saturday but it's all about camping, such a good atmosphere in the camp sites!

Best thing is it's about 10 minutes from my house so always have someone to come and pick me up when I'm a horrible mess. Haha.

If people do drive, watch out for the driver impairment check points, especially after AVB!

Got my tickets, we're doing the shuttlebus option which is ideal  :happy2:

Cheers for the local info none the less.
Can't wait to see Armin live, will be a real hypehype music event for me personally - ASOT and AVB in itself
