I have had these on my last 3 of my last 4 cars , a TT QS , an S3 and a TT V6 and they are a great mod sharpening up steering no end and aiding stability as well , they were very effective on the S3. I am also now considering these for my MK5 too..

One of the best handling mods you can do. I've got H&R ones myself, definitely worth the money

How does the thickness of the bar effect handling/comfort? The thicker they are, the stiffer they are at resiting roll?

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Yeah basically. But upgraded ones are solid bar whereas the OEM rear one is hollow and the OEM front is pretty thin.

The benefit with upgraded ARB's is that they are adjustable too, so you can set them to your needs

Yeah, they're normally 2-way adjustable if I'm correct? Occasionally you can have 3-way but not seen many.

Do you know the thickness of the OEM anti-roll bars?

The standard front GTi ARB is 23.6mm (hollow), rear is 21.7 (hollow).

I put some info on OEM bars in this thread:

I've got the H&R 28mm/24mm setup one of the best handling modifications IMO. Such a difference in handling worth the money 100%.

Sorry for tagging on to this thread, but I'm pretty much convinced on a set of ARB's for my ED30, as they made a decent difference on my old 1.8t even with upgraded dampers and springs.

Can anyone advise what the difference would be on the H&R 28/24mm bars vs. the H&R 26/22mm bars?

Thanks!
