This time of year its about low thirties around town, about 35 cruising at motorway 70mph and anywhere up to 45mpg if driving carefully.
In winter it drops way down

I have a remapped manual with forge twintake, I drive it pretty hard and get around 23mpg mostly motorway miles with a few short journeys to work and back.

Christ, you might as well have a bloody V8

30 avg all day long for me. 35 motorway, it'll touch 40 if I take the piss. In town/traffic its a total write-off (sub 20mpg)

this time of year im looking at at around the folloing MPG

-21 mpg round busy traffic
-26-28 mpg round town when its quiet
-35ish mpg doing around 80mph on motoway runs
-40+ doing economy runs which involve driving at 60mph and very very boring lol. I say 40+ cuz i dont hang around doing 60 for long before reverting back to a little more speed lol

in winter i will probably see a drop of around 3 mpg in all figures. However town driving i have seen 16mpg on some of the colder days

My car is a standard gti with a stage 1 r tech remap
hope that helps

Gti stage 1 manual. Get low 20's around town on reasonably short runs and low 30's on a steady motorway run. I have no idea how some people see 40 mpg.
