Help- Drivers door will not open RESOLVED
« on: May 07, 2014, 01:02:17 pm »
Hi,

Just in the process of changing to some R32 leather door cards.
Put it all back together and now I cannot open the drivers side door.
Can anyone tell me how to get the sod open again? There feels like there is less 'play'
from the interior door handle. I cannot get the door card back off as it is shut!

Try winding the windows down and pull both handles (in and out) simultaneously to see if it shifts. But I would also check the door locking modules as they are prone to failing on MK5 Golf's, I had this happened to me before and it was a right PITA.

Cheers mate - that wasn't quite the fix but using the inside handle from outside made me use a bit more force- the inside handle made a clunk and then everything works again....maybe something just wasnt seated properly  :scared:

Thanks
