My alloys afer a refurb.
« on: May 17, 2014, 06:57:56 pm »
Evening all, just got my alloys back from being refurbed, at the same time i also got the center caps of my pick up done, bare in mind all that was wrong with the wheels was a very small amount of corrosion around 2 valves and a lot of marks on the inside of the wheel from removing sticky weights ect, and my center caps of the pick up had just dis-coloured, what do you think?  the center caps of the golf wheels arn't covered or laquered, and the caps of the pick up arn't laquered either.

That is very disappointing. And knowing who did it I'm very surprised....

Did you point this out to them when you collected them? Because I  can't see how they would let those out of the shop if they had any idea how bad they were.

i certainly did mate, after firstly talking with the younger lad, he told me the owner had done them, and that he himself also agreed how poor they are, beleive me the pictures show them in one light, in real life they're worse, trust me. then speaking with the owner he said i've got two choices, either pay for them and take them back at a later date, or leave them and they'll do them again, seeing as i dropped them of on monday morning and picked them up on friday afternoon, i had no choice but to bring them home as my car was stuck on the ramp with no wheels on. this was after being told by the owner he thought they were just a winter set of wheels as i have the winter tyres still on. some excuse hey?
