Newb Eddy 30 - Cornwall, and the NW
« on: June 02, 2014, 08:33:53 am »
Time to introduce myself?
I have been in the bacground a bit, its difficult to add much value to such a well established forum as a newbie!

I am the bloke with NI plates on a steel grey eddy, regularly up n down M5 & M6....the one with the pig ugly tow bar!
I regularly tow a light racing dinghy...not a caravan, you will be pleased to hear!

Back in VWs after a few years with BMW, mainly because wife sees this as a grey golf, and not as in your face as beemers. You certainly get let out out junctions a lot more!

Done a few mods, apr 1 map, WALK, polybushes/mounts etc at Awesome.
As I am an engineer, a few more small bits to mechanicals, brakes etc.

Changed out some badges/trim etc...imho VW quality is not what it was?

Please dont ask for photos...its just another bog grey eddy, thats the idea really

...except from the rear

Its my pig ugly tow bar!

Made the mistake of leaving the car with a fitter while i was  working away. Came back to find that rather than the agreed swan neck, the tw@t had chopped a bloody hole. In the lower valence! Proper mess...
We had a disagreement!!!

Will get some photies as a lesson in how NOT to fit a tbar.
