« on: June 28, 2014, 09:56:10 pm »
Hi Guys

What would be suitable or the best type of "grease" to use on ARB bushes?

The ARB's I have fitted: Whiteline front & rear !

I have a Whiteline on the rear and it kept creaking. Alex greased it a couple of times but the last time it started I did it myself with what I could get from work. Believe it's a standard EP2 type grease. Seems to have done the job for now.

Yes most likely. While the lithium grease is probably really good, I feel it probably gets washed out too easily with the bushes being quite exposed under the car. The stuff I used from work was out of a big tub of the stuff. Esso probably at the time. We're going back a fair while now. I filled a container and keep it in the garage so couldn't tell you exactly what it was.

Change the bushes as well as a good grease up?

I have Autotech ARB and after hearing about the squeaking peeps get with their Autotech bushes I had Superpro ones fitted and all's good.

If you have Poly bushes Neil (i imagine you do) ignore this post and move on!

I don't have the superpro arb bushes fitted just the ones that come with the whileline arb's.

Can bushes be got from superpro for the whiteline arbs?

I was not aware of them! :innocent:

Superpro sell a bush/bracket sets for ARBS. No doubt all different sizes for different ARB thicknesses though (I just asked Alex what I needed ).

I use a spray grease that penetrates the gaps. Doesn't last too long, around 2 months or so, but quietens the creak well enough.

An idea I thought about trying was to smear some Vaseline on the outside where the bush meets the ARB to try stop the water getting in.
