Hi all

So in august I have booked the train an me and the wife are taking the eddy back home to Wolfsburg Germany :grin:

I have always wanted to visit the VW museum and the Autostadt museum

I am so looking forward to it I have been wanting to go for 10 years and this year they are celebrating 40 years of the golf which finish's in September

You'll love it mate, been 3 times myself  :happy2:

Head to the Autostadt early and book yourself on the English speaking tour as spaces are limited and don't forget to try the currywurst in the delivery pavilion restaurant, made with the famous VW part number bratwurst  :grin:

have emailed the Autostadt to book an early tour  :happy2:

is a day in the VW museum too long ?

thinking of booking a driving experience but not sure if I am going to have time as I only have a day at the Autostadt

I had a yellow mk1 golf just like the picture above with a 1.5l engine. Tried to make it look like a GTi before I actually got myself a white mk1 GTi 1.6. Best car I ever owned, so much fun, cheap to run and one of the quickest things on the road back in the day

going out to Wolfsburg Wednesday morning

to say I am a little excited is an understatement  :jumping: :jumpmove: :jumping:

got an English speaking tour of the vw factory booked

Tourag driving experience and the car tower all booked

i emailed the Autostadt and they booked me on the experiences and planned my day at the museum  :happy2:

today I have to get two new tyres on the car and give it a good clean as the weather was pants yesterday

I will be driving from Calais through Belgium into Holland and onto Germany

can anyone recommend anywhere to stop of about half way through my journey

I used to blast into Germany only taking 2hrs from Calais so never stopped as the journey was relatively quick.

If you do feel the need for a half way stop then I would stop of in Maastricht, it's a beautiful place  :happy2:

going with the wife mate its a 6 1/2 hour drive she will want to stop  :smiley:

been back since Friday night just been busy so here are the pictures all I can say if you like cars you need to go to the Autostadt the vw museum was good but 4 hours was defo long enough for me
