Tyres rubbing on wheel arch.

As title says i noticed the tyres have been at somepoint been rubbing on the wheel arch.

I had bought the car with the lowering springs already on it so not sure how low it is.

I'm pretty sure the guy said they were eibach but i can't remember which ones so which ones would do this?

Anyone any ideas?

Could i get arches rolled or is it worth just changing them.

Very simple.......Screw delete mod.  :wink:

All you need to do is remove the ach liner screw (which is the screw on the inner top lip of each arch), then pop the liner to the inside of the lip, then carefully bend inwards the bit of metal that the screw was screwed into which will prevent the liner from coming back out, job done.

EDIT: Unless your running 9.5" ET35 wheels on the front in which case then your buggered!!  :laugh:

Just had it up on ramp. The springs have actually been cut to make it lower.

New springs it is then.

Aye its been sawn to make the car lower. When jacked up, can actually move the spring up and down.

So thats it off the road till new springs come.

H&R springs, cost a few quid more than Eibach's offerings (either pro or Sportline) but they are better and give a more even drop from front to back.  :happy2:

I've just fitted H&R springs and they ride very comfortably and they've settled with a tasty stance too  :happy2: win win

Presume you couldn't really tell until the car is up on the ramps cos the weight of the car would have compressed the springs

Yeah with weight of car they sit in tight but soon as its up can move it about.

Don't even know why someone would even think about doing it and being happy.

I'm paranoid about any wee noise never mind knowing if i had just cut my springs.

Look like they have been on the car for a while aswell.
