GTI to R32 exhaust
« on: July 02, 2014, 07:52:15 pm »
Where do people go to get their gti exhaust changed to a r32 styled one when they get a r32 rear bumper?
And how much would I be looking?

I'm located in derby if that helps!

This looks great, do you mind me asking how much the conversion cost all in?

Defnitely BCS! Had a milltek, and was average at best, backbox would clang off of everything. BCS doesnt have a big backbox, all the silencing is done up undernath in the center sections.

Going rate for genuine R32 rear ends seems to be anywhere between £230 and £300 depending on condition, i paid around £1100 fo my turboback with sports cat. So by no means cheap, but can always go cat-back if all you want is the looks. Speak to nige from BCS hes a lovely guy and will sort you with exactly what you're after

^^^^ this.

Make sure the R32 bumper is genuine as there have been some figment issues with the one piece copies. My whole r32 rear end was £300 but can be had from £200 for the lower section with diffuser.

I paid another £300 for the whole thing (including the diffuser in Gloss Black) for paint and modding slightly as mine was the wrong colour when I bought it. If you just buy the lower bumper section to fit with your OEM top section and only need that painting (and leave the diffuser) you'll be looking around £80-£150 depending on who you use.

As Deago says re BCS price but if you already have a BCS system then to convert it is only £200 as you'll only need a R32 rear assembly. BCS do 3 different tip option too.
