Am I mad!? Stg2+ edition 30 to mk4 R32??

Got an itch for that v6 sound!!

But I'll miss the power I think? Are they really that slow??

Help! Can't help but think its a downgrade not an upgrade? But would love to own a mint one, one day.

Not sure I would go so far as to say it would be a backward step but I would imagine you would notice the "dated" design... Perhaps a Mk5 R32 would be better, Still love the stance of those cars plus that lovely sounding engine. Personally I couldn't justify the running costs ... fuel, tax etc. Probably a fair bit slower than your current car unless in the wet off the line ...  :surprised:

Someone off the forum did MK5 GTI to MK4 R32 and although he loved it at first, he sold it a few months later  :sad1:

Your mad keep the Edition 30 as going from 350-360 bhp to 240 is a BIG step down in power. But at the end of the day its your choice just make sure you don't regret it if you do.

You'll be losing 100ish bhp in real numbers but the lack of a turbo kick will make it feel like you've lost 200bhp.

They sound incredible but the 4wd system and the incredibly smooth, linear power make for a boring drive.

Not to mention the mk4 has a softer less responsive chassis to start with.

The only option here is a mk5 r32 turbo.

Mk4 R32 is the best looking Golf to date IMO but would I swap one for my Eddy, feck no. If I could have both.......thats a whole other story!  :love:

Is your money, you'll need to scratch that itch sooner then later.
