Why are you not thrilled with the R over the Ed30?

I remember Scooba a while back was of the same thoughts when he had both, and ended up selling the R and keeping his TR Eddy instead?.

I was going to ask on the forum whether any Ed30 owners that had switched to an R had regretted it. . .

Baring in mind it's the same car, with more weight I guess unless you like the low speed traction a Stage1 ED30 will be a faster car than a Stage 1 R  above 40mph?

Keen to hear your thoughts after owning both :happy2:

Nice looking R - not seen any on the road in red!

I guess the ED30 is a bit 'raw' compared to the R? Isn't the trim and finish of the mk6 what makes it feel a bit quietened & separated from the road, compared to the mk5.

Come the winter months when the R is planting power where the ED would be throwing TC lights, I reckon it will be well worth it!
