Make sure you do at least 500 miles (1,000 is better) before the event on those new F1's if they're Assymetrics - They take time to bed in.

:happy2:

The back ones have been on a month so might swap them around and it's in for a service next week, nice new oil and sticking a set of plugs in it while it's there

This may sound a little silly, but is anyone doing anything about their tyre pressures just before running up the strip?

Going to see what the conditions are like first and do a couple of runs as the car is normally.. Not expecting to be breaking any records though, as it's not going to be a grippy track this time of the year, that's for sure..

As Vtec says Id be doing a run on std pressures first then maybe try a bit lower later on.
Ironically if its cold (lol) , damp/wet or even snowing () then switching back to a stock map you may be quicker

Then you won't be running full stop mate, as the strip will be shut.. One big risk we're all taking with it being Feb.. But fingers crossed it'll stay dry mate..

....I'm advised it's good practice on a remapped 2.0T FSI to change plugs every 20k miles.

Mines on longlife and on time/distance service. Came up ready for service at 9400miles during christmas, car is booked in in a few days but has done just over 10k now. Have been taking it easy on the car and running stock map until its had its service .
