Newb tornado red ed30
« on: August 21, 2014, 05:03:53 pm »
Hey y'all! Been a long term browser but never posted up until recently..
So I got my 2007  (57) tornado red Edition 30 back in feb 2012 from a dealer aaaall the way up in Aberdeen (I'm based in west Wales). It was a bit of an impulse buy to be honest cause I was looking for a BMW 330 Msport, but saw a local Ed30 and that was it, i wanted one! When I got it, it had 22k miles and was a minter. Although the spec wasn't great (no xenons or sat nav)  :ashamed: But what it did have was a DSG box and a sunroof. It was good enough for me!
So 2 and half years on, its now reading 74k miles (I have a 90 mile commute to work). Upgrades so far have been limited to a superchips stage 1 remap, VWR panel filter, rev G diverter valve and cam follower change. On the to do list for the near future include NGK iridium spark plugs, new coil packs, RNS head unit and possibly an exhaust system (this is a big maybe though, don't want it to be too droany for the commute).

Thats about it for now. I'll try and upload some pics soon!

Wicksy  :happy2:

Welcome to the fold!  :drinking:

She looks lovely........... and you've got a sunroof.  :pomppomp:

Look into getting a BCS Prestige TBE system, quiet enough for your commute, IMHO I'd get the Powervalve version. Just a thought.

Cheers for the welcome! Sounds like I'd better start looking into this exhaust a bit... Sounds expensive though  :surprised:
