Dsg map does a lot of little things mainly -

Raises gear change rev limit slightly
Raises launch revs from 2.5k to 4k
Raises the rev limiter to 7k I think
Speeds up gear changes
Increases clamping forces

I'm looking to get mine done soon so will post up a review if nobody else has by then  :happy2:

I'm tempted by this (though I've done nothing about it yet).

The key feature for me is disabling the automatic upshift when it hits the limiter in manual mode.  If that was removed then it wouldn't upshift at the same time that I do.  Then I'd get the one shift instead of two.
I'd pay £100-150 for that, but I think it's more.

May not be more than that with another tuner  :innocent:

According to this thread: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=49310.0

A basic DSG map @ R-Tech is £100, although that was 2 years ago so it may be more now. A custom DSG remap is £200

You will probably be tempted to get your ECU remapped too though  :signLOL:

Had this done on my R32 and can highly recommend it made the car far more driveable, difference was night and day. Quicker changes in all modes and revy.

Am contemplating on dsg map since there is a sale.

After getting my revo map in 2012, there are a few things that are bugging me
- the shift point is way too early unless my throttle input is more than 50%
- jerky shifts at mid throttle/mid rpm occasionally

Will the dsg map fix the above? I dont need higher rpm limit as my k03 is rather flat at the range.
Also, is it possible to change back to stock dsg map?
And what happens if i reflash back to stock ecu map but my dsg map is still there?

In sport mine is jerky in the lower gears,I have a K04 so a bit more power.
The DSG map is good but now I'm at stage 2+ I see a stage two DSG map is available,I have more than enough power so I will stick to the one I have

Does anyone know if it's still possible to cruise around town or on the motorway without revving the tits off your car with a DSG remap?

I presume he means in S mode, if so no you cant.

P.s  anyone with cruise control, make sure you have the revised file,if it is the same as mk6 then cruise is not working properly.
pps  DSG map is not 100% satisfactory if you specify linear throttle, according to tech at revo, I tried it first and it was terrible for general driving.

Why would you drive around town or down a motorway in S mode?
