That's not bad! I'm paying £600 @21 on hydraulics.

Intercooler looks yummy!

That's pretty sweet, its crazy to think that 3 years ago I paid £3000 for a 6000mile limited policy on a 54hp 1.2 Skoda worth £1700  :stupid:. I'm pretty sure they pull the numbers out of there arse.

Hopefully it will pull like it's 4 degrees outside all the time.  :driver:

I realised the other day that I've neglected my interior a bit so I will be doing some interior mods the next few weeks. This is the first

Osir carbon steering wheel badge (thanks @Banham ) with red GTI inner. I love the interior of the MK5 but there's a lot of grey and black so hoping to bring a bit more colour to it.

Cheers, thought I'd try something a bit different, wasn't sure if it would look good or sh*t but I really like it.

Got a couple more bits done today.

From this:

To this:

I've always hated the silver ashtray, and my one came with the smokers pack so it didn't have a proper storage space like this one  :jumpmove:

So I had a fairly sh*t week at the beginning of the year with quite a few issues.

Rear wiper dead
Boot badge coming apart and not closing properly
Still have a small coolant leak
Airbag fault still not gone
Squeaky belt/ tensioner
Curbed my wheel for the first time (after 9 months without even scratching them)

So I got a bit fed up and the weather being sh*t didn't help either and I came very close to selling it. I actually did sell off a few of the parts I had Bought for my stage 2+ plans.

Anyways last Thursday and yesterday I went for a couple of very fun drives and remembered why I love the car and that I've spent way to much time and money getting it to where it is to just sell up now.

So plans have changed slightly, my car is booked in with Alex at AKS on the 28th March - 2nd April for:

.THS intercooler fitting
.LOBA HPFP
.Helix organic clutch + new OEM DMF
.42DD bushings
.Superpro dogbone mount
.Cambelt and waterpump + tensioner
.Aux belt + tensioner
.Fix coolant leak (if not done already)
.Fix airbag issue (if not done already)
.Remove rear wiper (if not done already)

Then off to R-Tech sometime soon after for a stage 2+ map  :jumpmove:

So I've had to drop some Mods to do some repairs/ preventative replacing.

Gave the car a wash this afternoon and found my new rubber has arrived

Michelin pilot super sports x2 for the fronts.
If they're as good as I've heard them shall do the rears in a few months. Once I've got a few miles on them I'll put a review/ comparison to the Goodyear Eagle F1's on here.

Get an Ed. 30 DMF, which is the same used in the R20 270HP engine. It handles better an increased torque.

I thought the ED30 and GTI clutch assemblys were identical?

Check ETKA and you'll see the PN for the DMF is different. It's the same for both Ed. 30 and R20.
