Well mine turned up and looks good quality.

Came with boost hose clamps and hoses and a few connecting couplers.

Looks like its had a brand on the side and has been ground/sanded back.

Excellent!  Perhaps you can post some photos of the ic? Especially the welds and what you can see of the core to get an idea of the density and construction.

Check the coupler fits your existing pipework before you attempt fitting it, otherwise you'll need to order a correct fitting coupler first
