Hi - new tornado red gti owner in Leeds
« on: September 25, 2014, 11:12:15 am »
Hi everyone.
Just bought an 06 Gti in tornado red, pick it up on Friday,
just needs some new centre caps for the wheels and a new grill badge.

all standard apart from the alloys have been refurbed in a slightly darker grey.
probably only looking to do subtle mods, nothing too drastic.
photos are at the garage as haven't picked it up yet.

I looked at a few and I decided that red was my favourite colour too, also wanted the cloth seats over the leather (strange preference I know) but I think part of the "gti heritage" is cloth checked seats. as far as plans for the car im thinking maybe just a few things like getting the bottom of the rear bumper sprayed to match the rest of the car, maybe front edition 30 splitter, then possibly black badges, black front grilles and maybe wheel colour change or maybe even wheel change completely

I had cloth with GTI tartan when I bought my car, but now I have a leather interior. It all starts with a bit of colour coding, wheels and some tidying things up. Next is a remap, then an exhaust... Before you know it you're where I am looking at big brake kits, full chassis overhauls, transmission... It gets messy/expensive/time consuming this modifying thing!

I can only hope your will is stronger than mine.
