Milltek Passenger Ride
« on: October 02, 2014, 01:45:23 pm »
Anyone in the south London area running a Milltek TBE? if so could I be cheeky and ask for a passenger ride to hear what it sounds like.

The modding bug has bitten yet again  :signLOL:

Also interested in hearing a BCS system if anyone has one.

While I can't give you an actual ride, the Milltek system (even the louder version) is barely much more than a standard exhaust when in the car. It's good for if you want a performance gain but without added noise. The quieter version is pretty much stock.

The BCS system, if going with the Powervalve system, does sound tempting when watching the videos on YouTube.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Why not have a video that you can hear it rather then show how shiney it is.....

 :popcornsoda:

Your scirocco with DSG video is much better and BCS system looks competive if priced in line with the competition.

You're right Steve - the sound on the Golf GTi was recorded with a GoPro (pretty basic)
The Scirocco R was recorded with the new Zoom H6 setup - as will all future videos (best listened through head phones...)

So at what RPM/ PSI does the powervalve kick in? I think its a fantastic idea but personally I like to still have a bit more noise over the OEM even on idle/ cruising speeds. Do you still get crackling/ burbling sounds at the low RPM's when off the accelerator? That's one of my favourite things about mine.

Cheers guys after reading about the potential issues with the Milltek  the BCS is looking like a winner, especially the oem quietness whilst cruising around town.

Any idea on price?

Hi Dan
The valve becomes active as soon as the car begins to devlop boost... :happy2:
...the Powervalve can be set from 0 - 100% open, so if you prefer a little more noise on tick over or pootling around this can be accomodated.
The valve adjustment facility is an extra £8.00
Cheers
