Bsh engine mounts
« on: October 03, 2014, 08:26:05 pm »
Just fitted the engine and transmission mount to my gti. How much quiter do they get over time. At the moment it feels like the engine is sat on my lap. I like the sound but not the vibration.
It  does make the car feel so much tighter up front though

I have the powerflex lower mount and it does make the car feel sharper but at the same time you do get more vibration but only at a standstill or biting point once your up and away you don't know it's there. Protects my BCS also

If it bothers you id try and get a set of the THS engine mounts. No more vibration than the oe mounts gave.

THS engine mounts are no more, so you'll have to find them used or go for these

for 2+ on GTI or the equivalent stage 1 on ED30 and Cupra's THS/034 are fine, higher than that i would personally recommend going REVO upper engine mounts and a solid insert, as i saw marks on the aircon/generator belt for it touching the aircon pipe sitting in front of it due to excessive movement with the THS upper mounts and 360+bhp

Over the top mod list ;o)

The engine mounts have bedded in nicely now and im loving them. Little bit of vibration when first started but thats it. The growl is
