Bristol ICE Fitter / MFSW wheel / new speedo?
« on: October 08, 2014, 11:51:43 pm »
Hi all,

I'm in Bristol and have just bought the following bags of tricks and am confused as hell, so wondered if there is anyone out there who can help me fit them and code them in (by that I mean do it for me for cash and beer of course!!)  :drinking:

Current car and setup: April 2005 Golf GTI AXX, DSG box, but no paddles on wheel (but I have working cruise control), midline clock, RCD300 stereo without DAB / NAV / Bluetooth

Upgrades bought: MFSW wheel with paddles and Star button, (pics below), Control Module 1KO 953 549 G, new airbag looms, 5K0 971 584 C and 1K0 971 584 C (hedging my bets!), new GTI clocks 1K 692 0 972 D, new CAN Gateway 7N0 907 530 AN, Kenwood DNX525DAB unit (comes with power loom and NAV aerial / bluetooth mic / windscreen mount DAB aerial and an iPod direct cable)

Anyone who can help, or knows someone who can, please get in touch and we can discuss prices / dates etc.

I am not sure about my current slip ring, but would imagine it is compatible with my new steering wheel, as I currently have cruise control fitted and working?

Finally, I would love to have reverse parking sensors that are either: flush with bumper, colour coded and give visual display on head unit, OR: reverse camera with visual display (obv!), beep and lines on display... I know the latter is easier but think the visual display on head unit and the noise is my preference.

If while you someone is in there they want to code me up for a boot latch pop too, that would be awesome.  :jumping:

I'm going to be thinking about upgrading the amp and speakers at some point too, so if someone can help me with this then there is possibly more work in the future...

Thanks!

Cheers Pikey. Good recommendations if I go down the commercial route, but was wondering if there was anyone who was a bit more independent, i.e., has VAGCOM / VCDS and wouldn't mind coming round to mine and helping for beer money! Bit cheeky I kow, but the main thing I need is help with coding the speedo / CAN gateway / new wheel, and getting the new stereo to work with MFSW.
