BCS rust
« on: October 16, 2014, 09:01:54 pm »
Guys, I don't want to be the odd one out as I do love my BCS full exhaust... But I wanted to check if it was right to find a corroded joint on what I thought was a stainless steel exhaust.. I will try to upload a pic but it's on the first joint behind the back box...

Is that an old system? Can't recall seeing any joins that look like that on mine.

That is the BCS TBE I had fitted in Sept 2011, I dug out the receipt this morning.  I am going to call Nige this morning, as it's not what I would expect for a system that cost the best part of £900.

The join in my pic is [I think from memory] the first join behind the rear box... I don't have access to any ramps / jacks to have a better look / photo but will try to get a better view than the one uploaded

The system is a Blue flame - the flange connector is the givaway... OP back in August 2011

I have a number of hybrid Blue Flame cat back systems available at £795.00 for a short while longer
Kit includes the BCS downpipe and motor sport cat - we also supply a larger front silencer to take the noise down slightly - the overall sound balance is spot on over the stock pipe.
Have a listen here...

Trims are twin 90mm staggered
Cheers
Nige

We were originally offering them before we began manufacturing own own systems - we were originally producing our own DP and cat which mated to it.
The flanges are mild steel which are corroding.
Happy to replace with stainless ones for you
Cheers
Nige
