Edition 30 manual clutches
« on: October 23, 2014, 06:36:18 pm »
Why don't people fit Edition 30 clutches to their stage 1 GTI's? Maybe a silly question but a stage 1 GTI is basically standard ED30 power give or take is it not?

Stage 1 GTI has more torque (which is what kills clutches) and also if your going to go to the effort of replacing the clutch then it might as well be one that can handle a lot more power to give you headroom for further power upgrades.

Beyond all that I don't even know if the ED30 clutch is any different to the K03 GTI clutch.

^ THIS

clutches are the same on GTI & Ed30. A k03 wound up produces a lot of torque compared to a K04 being tickled by its standard map  :happy2:
