Prob a feature on most cars but if I keep my finger on the lock button all the windows and sunroof close.

They can also be coded so that when you press and hold the lock button, as soon as they start to shut you can let go of the button and they'll carry on closing  :happy2:

That would be useful, do you have a link to the VCDS procedure to do that bud?

Anyone care to pop up the procedure for coding via the switches?

Cheers

There may have been a little confusion with my last post. The method I describe for total closure is via the lock button on the key and as far as I'm aware can only be coded with VCDS.

So for those who are interested:

Go into 46 Central Convenience

Then to Byte 6

Check Bit 6 Comfort Function Automatic Closing.

This option may be located in a different byte/bit depending on your CCM.

Thanks for checking back.
I'll hook it up tomoz see if I can get it working.

For the record I have the usual closure/opening when deep pressing the button, but only when keeping it down throughout... your method is much better imo, I've been wanting that for a while tbh.

It works, cheers, useful mod.
Mine was in 46 / 7 / 6

Shame it doesn't do it for up and down, but up is the important one.

But do they finish going all the way up/down when you take your finger off the button or do you have to keep it pressed to fully open/close them?

Not 100% sure it's on the MK5 but was on my MK2 Leon which shares the same platform so...

Brake Disc Wipers - when it's raining and the wipers are on the brakes are automatically applied to the discs at set intervals to clear any water film.  The result is increased brake efficiency in the wet.

thats impressive

I don't think this feature made it onto the mk5, but certainly did on the mk6... when I had my R, I saw the option in long coding; not the case on my R32
VCDS Hex-USB +CAN (Central Scotland)
