very shiny mine look like brushed steel at the minute nothings making them shine  :sad1:

try wire wool and i used autoglym metalpolisher. worker great. took be about 2h to do.

A prober metal polish such as auto finesse mercury or auto glym metal polish etc (I used the auto glym one with great results not the tube one tho)

I have got some autosol metal polish in a tube that's okay so just need to get that ultra fine wire wool ordered  :happy2:

I used a few bits from Home Bargains and no scratches on mine - worked a treat. Get yourself down your local supermarket and all will be fine :-)

Might as well do that too then the more protection the merrier until after Christmas then I get my full TBE BCS powervalve system :driver: :jumping:

On the off chance, and after trying many products, I tried a Magic Eraser from the Flash household section and it was absolutely amazing! A quick dip in a bucket of water to activate the soapy stuff inside and it removed all the baked on black stuff with no effort at all (I've sweated over my tips often enough). Quick wash off and polish/wax and you're good to go. The active 'ingredient', if you like, is melamine foam which is a microscopic abrasive so don't go wailing on the bird poop on your paintwork with it.

OT it looks like it could be a great glass cleaner but I'll test it with a microscope and a glass slide before and after to check it's OK first.
