Pirelli Gti wheel refurb choices...
« on: November 01, 2014, 12:07:52 pm »
I'm looking to get the wheels refurbished on my Black Pirelli GTI. What colour should I go for? I'm thinking smoked/chrome which will be similar to the oem colour, or go for a darkish anthracite or maybe a standard silver??
Any black Pirelli owners had their wheels refurbed?

Mine have been done but have been kerbed, so I have been looking at the "chrome" powdercoat option also. I think its the way to go on a Black Pirelli the darker shades look good on silver but a little dark on the blacks.

Just my view

I've seen those smoke chrome variety of colours, I reckon they could look good against black. Good shout!

Been to look at some samples at the powder coaters..
He doesn't do smoke/chrome now. So the only colours he has really is silver, anthracite which it too dark really or a slightly darker silver he calls tungsten. Apparently the tungsten colour is similar to audi's colour.
Not sure what to go for?

My black Pirelli has light silver wheels and although do like them I prefer the oem colour, imho I would try and get as close to that as possible.

Booked the car in to get the wheels done on Thursday..
Still haven't decided yet, but it's between standard silver or  anthracite..

Never thought it would be this difficult to decide!
