18's on standard gti
« on: November 02, 2014, 09:26:56 pm »
I currently have 17" Monza wheels on my gti but the tyres will need replaced in the next couple months so thought its the best time to upgrade to a set of 18's, only question I have is how does the gti look on 18's with the standard ride height? I think it looks ok with Monza 2's but unsure if its just because they have a large face to them, how would the likes of rs4 alloys look on standard ride height?

Cheers

Offset and width play a big part. The oe Monza 18's are slightly narrower than most aftermarket wheels which I think helps them look 'right'.

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,72922.0.html - Should cover most of your question mate. There's no "correct" offset as it depends on many things, which this guide explains.
