Nokian winter tyres choice
« on: November 14, 2014, 02:34:45 pm »
I have an option on some Nokian winter tyres quite cheap.
We don't get a lot of snow down south but I want to be prepared. Especially as I may have to go up north....
WD D3s or WD A3s - any thoughts out there?

I'm running the A3's and have found them to be fine. Went out to try and get stuck on some back lanes but couldn't. Obviously they can be made to break loose but driven sensibly they were good.

They will feel very soft compared to standard tyres though so can take a little while to get used to.

Recently bought a pair for the rear A3's (still got 6mm tread on my old Goodyear Ultragrip 8's) the Nokians get great reviews and are keenly priced... not going on until it snows though, ha.
