For a great OEM look on your rear diffuser i would use Plasti-dip

done on mine and its a great finish.... can get pics if you want

its in a can :) nice and easy spray on leaves a nice matted finish.

thanks very much mate, i have used a thick matt black spray already but it still doesnt have the finish im after.

after a couple of hours hard engineering from my man waddy, we managed to get the exhaust all welded up last night and the custom r32 jobbie on ....






For the exhaust tip i have gone for a single 4" carbon slashcut which has the look of the ceramic miltek pipes which i was after  and the sound is just what i wanted, you can really hear the turbo through the exhaust and it still pops and coughs like a mofo 






only adjustment i am going to make is so that the exhaust tip sticks out about half an inch more so you can see the carbonness a little better, would love to hear your comments as always good and bad !!

Looks kind of funny but i like it.    I love seeing people pushing the boundaries with a Mk 5. 

Have you had a look how much the zorst is growing when it gets hot, i agree it needs to be a tad further out, but not by much. They can grow about 3 or 4 inches when hot.

joe: thought about doing the mk6 style with one of these at each side but wanted to get away from the twin exhaust design and have something different.

since i have owned my car for a year there have been another 3 white r32 reps pop up near me !!, so im trying to make it look a little different now 

tc: nope didnt realize it grew that much ! i had noticed some of the laquer starting to crack though so i will be sanding it down for a matt finish but ill be sure to have a check next time im out for an enthusiastic drive

30/11/09 Pretty bag one 

well... the car has been in at plush for the last 10 days getting an air lift products MKV slam kit supplied and fitted.

i had previously bought a full "plug n play"    kit from airbagit.com and tbh the quality of the set up was not the best ( looked like universal stuff modified for a non gti mk5 when i clearly stated the strut was gti size.

anyway i had fitted the compressor, run the lines and made a false floor etc. all the little bits and decided to let luke rip on the actual bags and for a notch on the chassis, at the moment it is around 1" off laying frame, soon to be changed once i get her back
