Might be doubtful to run on the Dyno for this but will still most likely pop down anyway

 :sad1:

Take a day off tomorrow and get it run in

Its not that pal, I've already done 540 miles as a reference lol
It's because I need a DSG remap, I've chosen Statller to do this as I've seen Johns car with GIAC software and it looks impressive, the problem is that they are currently building 5 engines and are very busy. I don't think they can fit me in this week  :sad1:

Tis a shame mate. .  . Wouldn't have thought its time consuming to flash a map to your gearbox  :sad1:

Is the DSG holding it back with torque limitations?

The process itself isn't very time consuming, but the gearbox needs to be read first, then the information sent to GIAC in america (8 hours behind), then GIAC send the file to Statller who will apply it to my car. I think the stock DSG limits power to 350lbft, I'm running around 390-400lbft hence why the map is needed for any WOT testing

@Tejinder I'm not doubting you've done considerable research but have you considered R-Tech? I've heard lots of good stuff about there DSG maps.

Yeah I have mate, but they don't touch Mk5 R32's for any kind of mapping. I persuaded them to do my DSG when I was N/A but they said they'd need the car for 4 days which put me off a bit

:surprised: I'm surprised they don't touch MK5 R32's and that it would take 4days.

Yeah me too, I went over to them last year to convince in person to do my car haha, also met my mate there who was getting his stage2+ map applied to his ed30. In short they said the most they could do would be the DSG map. In the end I left the DSG map, went to stealth for my engine map and now just fitted a Turbo haha. Funny what can happen in a year

The mk5 R32 has a different ECU to the GTI or MK4 R32, Niki doesn't have the software to map those.
