Sea Water Damage To Car

I started a new job recently which involves a 1km drive out to an island. At high tide a good bit of sea spray hits me on the way in and this morning a wave of water hit the car just once.

I'm well aware sea water is bad for the car but I want to know just how bad.

I'm only here Monday to Friday and have no access to my own car washing stuff (or even a hose for that matter) until I get home Friday night so I won't be able to hand wash it.

The question is, can I leave the sea water on the car until I get home in 4/5 days time to wash it or should I get a carwash here?

If I were you, I'd go to a jet wash and just go over the car with the shampoo lance followed by high pressure rinse.. no need to use the nasty brush

The shampoo lance is often TFR. wouldn't recommend it.
Normal water only jet wash will be fine.
