Aftermarket discs prone to warp as well as the oems?

You'll not warp them unless you are hammering it around a track.

IIRC the 340mm fitting kit (brackets and hoses) are 250

Now now ladies.

Probably cheaper in the interim to go TTRS calipers, HEL lines and EBC TTRS discs. I'll be getting TTRS calipers custom painted though and rears done to match. Eventually.

Just a small matter of house sale and divorce to sort out.  :signLOL:

No one apart from Audi makes the 370mm discs.

Ok. So I have bit the bullet on the TTRS calipers. Just need to decide to go for OEM discs (which will warp eventually) or the VAGBremTechnic 345mm conversion kit.

£250 + discs (anything from £80 to £150) + pads

Or

£550 + pads

Go for the 340mm tts discs.

The discs are 340x30mm.  Not the same as the TTS discs though.

Bugger, that means those cheap Brembos I bought last year aren't any good as spares then?  :sad1:

Anyone purchased from Dave Baird (gbautomotive) on eBay before?

He is doing me a set of TTRS calipers in black with the R logo, refurbished for a really good price.

I could have got a set for £350 then paid refurb costs, but these are £400 all in. Which is a relative bargain imo. Without consumables of course though.

Can anyone tell me if the revised Audi TTRS discs are less likely to warp?

Like I said before. Depends how long your gonna keep the car.

Long term then the 340 mm kit will be best as you'll save on discs.

Short term then 370 will be fine. Chances of warping them on the road is low. Justin uses them in his 400 Odd bhp S3

340s are going to be cheaper even with the initial investment in the VAGBremTechnic kit.

£250 + mtec discs + suitable pads.

Well. Looks like I'll be raising an eBay dispute and trying for a refund as the refurb job on the calipers is distinctly average and very much DIY looking.

Powder coat too thick, causing seals to not sit flush, didn't bung the brake line input so fluid has leaked out and ruined the coating, the decals look like they have had 1 thin layer of cheap Halfords rattle can laquer sprayed over them.

I could either get a full refund or send them somewhere proper for a refurb, but the calipers already owe me £400. f*ck sake!!!

And I kerbed a wheel a couple of days ago. FML.
