Steering wheel controller must be coded. Its not just plug and play. Than Basic settings etc.

Just out of intrest if I am to go back to my old clocks (when I come to sell the car) can I just refit my standard clocks and steering control module over without coding, or will they need to be recoded in to the car again?

Also the mute button doesn't work on my wheel, is there a fault somewhere?

just plug them both back in, but your mfsw may not work if you change your controller back to standard.

That's good to know.

It's just for when I sell the car, I will be stripping it back to as standard as I can, still not done the clocks yet as the lad who was doing it, his version of vag commander wasn't working so we couldn't do the clock swap.
How hard can it be?

when u do change it back to standard,  you may need to reset some of the errors with vcds as you would have removed the steering wheel.

That's not too bad, I know when I swapped the wheel over last time I didn't get any warning lights that appeared so I'm hoping it shouldn't be a problem.
