jamiep's edition 30 build
« on: February 17, 2015, 01:11:46 pm »
not much to write as of yet but picked up a black 3 door edition 30 on friday it has a nuespeed intake intake, coilovers and stage 1 apr map,

but my plans for it in the near future are to ...
change all the interior lights and exterior lights for white LED's
some sort of double din with satnav etc
forge blow of valve ( not sure what model is needed yet )
maybe a set of 19'' audi speedlines
bcs powervalve or milltek exhaust

Will upload some pics soon :)

plans sound good apart from the blow off valve, wouldn't bother and i don't think many people on here would either

LED's make the car look much more modern instead of the horrible yellow
Speediness look awesome on the golf, i miss mine but they were so heavy
BCS power valve is  especially with a decat

Is it noticeable? will you still get the same pops and bangs with the motorsport cat?

You'll still get pops and bangs with the cat but obviously a decat is less restrictive.

It doesn't matter which system you get it still sounds awesome  but with the decat you need a friendly mot tester

I've had a forge blow off on my last 2 mk5's do they just not make a difference so therefore not worth buying or any other reason to not get one ?

And are the speed lines too heavy? They do look nice was thinking a grey or bronze coloured centre with polished lips and black bolts. Would look lovely

Bov's reduce boost therefore power it has no gain to it

If you want the noise you already have a p flo intake so there is no need for the bov

Speedlines are heavy but so are most 19" wheels unless you buy OZ wheels and the like

Saying that they do suit the mk5 perfectly and there isn't really any wheel like them

Personally I'd go bronze with a polished lip it would look awesome against the black

Unless your going to go with a full on power build with your car your not going to notice the heavy wheels

BOV causes more turbo lag. Best suited to scoobys than a Golf GTI IMHO
